The Amazing Spider-Man 2
51% overall with a pattern worth knowing: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens well and fades. Early-round voters favor it; the films it faces in finals tend not to. Garfield's second outing polarized audiences on arrival and time hasn't settled the debate. It has emotional peaks that land hard, but the valleys around them give opponents an opening. 1.7s avg decision time (platform avg: 3.5s). No deliberation needed.
Synopsis
For Peter Parker, life is busy. Between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen Stacy, high school graduation cannot come quickly enough. Peter has not forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that is a promise he cannot keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
First impressions do the heavy lifting. 59% in the opening round is where The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is most convincing — by the final at 38%, the field has thinned to the films it can't outrun.
Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado at 50% is as close to a dead heat as the platform produces. Every vote matters in this one. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 dominates Star Wars at 67%. Jurassic Park at 13% is the one matchup where that confidence disappears.
In Family Fun Showdown, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 edges Moana 2 57–43% in round one, loses to WALL·E (30%) in the semifinals — reaching the semis but not the final.
