The Amazing Spider-Man 2
90 head-to-head matchups and still no clear verdict on The Amazing Spider-Man 2. 50% means the room is essentially split — a genuine coin flip every time it shows up in a bracket. Garfield's second outing polarized audiences on arrival and time hasn't settled the debate. It has emotional peaks that land hard, but the valleys around them give opponents an opening. 1.5s average. Quick enough to suggest a snap judgment, slow enough to involve a flicker of thought.
Synopsis
For Peter Parker, life is busy. Between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen Stacy, high school graduation cannot come quickly enough. Peter has not forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away, but that is a promise he cannot keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
The split doesn't budge. 55% in the opening round, 44% in the semis, 42% in the final — The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is contested at every stage, with neither side able to pull away.
Interstellar is the nearest thing to a true rival at 48%. The margin is slim and the outcome still feels unsettled. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 dominates Star Wars at 67%. Jurassic Park at 13% is the one matchup where that confidence disappears.
In Family Fun Showdown, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 trails Moana 2 56–44% in round one, loses to WALL·E (25%) in the semifinals — reaching the semis but not the final.
