Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom currently beats Jurassic Park III 59–41
The gothic sequel edges out the chase.
The Verdict Franchise Civil War
Fallen Kingdom leading is atmosphere winning over efficiency. Jurassic Park III is cleaner, but clean is easy to forget, and Bayona's film leaves images that lodge — the last brachiosaur dissolving into volcanic smoke, the Indoraptor unfolding out of the dark like a nightmare finding its feet. JP3 is competent and gone by dinner; Fallen Kingdom is uneven and unforgettable in patches, and a few unforgettable patches can outvote a whole film of fine. Ambition leaves a mark that competence never does.
