Paddington 2
Paddington 2 hasn't found its voters yet. At 34% across 86 head-to-head matchups, it struggles regardless of the competition — and no round offers relief. Paul King's sequel has no business being this good, and that gap between expectation and delivery is its sharpest weapon on a ballot. Opponents arrive prepared for a kids' film and find something far more difficult to dismiss.
Synopsis
Paddington, now happily settled with the Browns, picks up a series of odd jobs to buy the perfect present for his Aunt Lucy, but it is stolen.
Below average at every stage. The finals at 43% come closest to competitive, but "closest to competitive" is the ceiling — the bracket doesn't get easier for Paddington 2 at any point.
The matchup with Aliens is a genuine coin flip at 50% — neither film has found an edge. Against The Dark Knight, Paddington 2 wins only 29%. Some matchups simply don't go your way. The Empire Strikes Back causes similar problems at 32%.
