Raiders of the Lost Ark
Raiders of the Lost Ark makes short work of most opponents. At 71% across 35 head-to-head matchups, it sits near the top of BingeBracket's all-time rankings. The blueprint the entire adventure genre still runs on, which makes it close to unbeatable in a bracket: pure craft, pure momentum, not a wasted frame. From the boulder in the opening cave to the truck chase across the desert, it set a standard most of its opponents were quietly measured against long before they ever shared a ballot with it. The top-rated Steven Spielberg film on BingeBracket, and the 1980s's strongest bracket performer overall.
Synopsis
When Dr. Indiana Jones – the tweed-suited professor who just happens to be a celebrated archaeologist – is hired by the government to locate the legendary Ark of the Covenant, he finds himself up against the entire Nazi regime.
Even the dip is elite. 79% opening, 91% semis, 40% finals — the final-round number would be a career best for most films on the platform. For Raiders of the Lost Ark, it's the low point.
On the other end of the spectrum: Disclosure Day at 100% is a comfortable win, while Jurassic Park at 0% is the matchup Raiders of the Lost Ark can't crack.
Raiders of the Lost Ark leads all 11 Steven Spielberg films on BingeBracket. The runner-up is Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade at 68% — a 34% gap that shows how far ahead it sits.
