The Accountant²

Gatekeeper Strong in semis, fades in finals
2025 · Mystery, Crime, Thriller · Gavin O'Connor

At 53%, The Accountant² is among the better-performing films on BingeBracket. The final is where its record starts to slip — a pattern consistent enough across tournaments to define it. A sequel built for the audience that turned the original into a quiet hit. It gives fans exactly what they came back for, which is enough to hold ground but unlikely to convert the uninitiated. 0.9s average decision time. Reflexive, automatic, no hesitation — voters know where they stand before the matchup fully loads.

Synopsis

The ceiling

56% opening, 66% semis, 25% finals. The Accountant² clears the field and then hits a wall — the films still standing at the end are the ones it consistently loses to.

The matchup with The Amateur is a genuine coin flip at 50% — neither film has found an edge. The Accountant² beats The Old Guard 2 (78%) and Ice Road: Vengeance (75%) convincingly. The Hangman at 8% is where the dominance ends.
