The Idea of You
26% across 121 head-to-head matchups is a tough number. The Idea of You hasn't built a fanbase strong enough to compete with what it's typically matched against, and the round data confirms it across every stage. A streaming romance with a genuinely passionate audience operating at a structural disadvantage against theatrical releases. The devotion is real — the question is whether the platform carries an invisible ceiling.
Synopsis
40-year-old single mom Solène begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. As they begin a whirlwind romance, it isn't long before Hayes' superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship, and Solène soon discovers that life in the glare of his spotlight might be more than she bargained for.
Below average at every stage. The semis at 36% come closest to competitive, but "closest to competitive" is the ceiling — the bracket doesn't get easier for The Idea of You at any point.
10 Things I Hate About You is the film The Idea of You can't figure out — just 24% in their matchups. When Harry Met Sally... causes similar problems at 25%.
The Idea of You handles Notting Hill in the semis but can't get past When Harry Met Sally... in the final (25%). The tournament nemesis is clear.
Dead last in Valentine's Day Showdown 2026.
