Tin Soldier
At 48%, Tin Soldier is close to average — but the rounds aren't. It competes well in the middle of a tournament and drops off when the bracket narrows to the best. An action film that delivers competence without distinction, which in bracket terms means it rarely offends but rarely inspires. It occupies the middle ground where survival depends on favorable draws rather than voter conviction. 0.7s per vote. That's not a decision — it's a reflex. Voters see the matchup and act without thinking.
Synopsis
An ex-special forces operative seeks revenge against a cult leader who has corrupted his former comrades, the Shinjas. This leader, known as The Bokushi, promises veterans a purpose and protection, but is revealed to be a destructive influence. The ex-soldier, Nash Cavanaugh, joins forces with military operative Emmanuel Ashburn to infiltrate the Bokushi's fortress and expose his reign of terror
Everything before the final looks solid — 63% opening, 41% semis. Then 8%. The drop from semis to finals is one of the steepest on the platform.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the easy matchup at 100%. A Nightmare on Elm Street is the kryptonite at 0%. The gap between best and worst opponent says a lot about what Tin Soldier can and can't handle.
