Wicked
Wicked wins more than most. At 62% across 29 head-to-head matchups, it consistently comes out on top. Jon M. Chu's adaptation lands with the built-in fervor of the stage musical and a 'Defying Gravity' finale engineered to stop a room cold. What it carries into a forced choice is recognition and spectacle: a fanbase that already knows every lyric, and a showstopper most opponents have no answer for. Among Jon M. Chu's films on BingeBracket, nothing beats it.
Synopsis
In the land of Oz, ostracized and misunderstood green-skinned Elphaba is forced to share a room with the popular aristocrat Glinda at Shiz University, and the two's unlikely friendship is tested as they begin to fulfill their respective destinies as Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
The round-by-round numbers don't move much: 57%, 75%, 57%. Wicked's strength isn't in any particular round — it's in the absence of a round where it falls off.
The 75% rate against The Super Mario Bros. Movie is among the most lopsided in Wicked's history. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie at 75% is another comfortable win.
The Original or Sequel? Family Favorites final — Wicked vs. Zootopia — lands at 60%. A clear but not overwhelming edge.
Of the 2 Jon M. Chu films tracked on BingeBracket, Wicked leads. Wicked: For Good at 46% is the other entry — a 0% gap between them.
