Wrath of Man
42% overall with a pattern worth knowing: Wrath of Man opens well and fades. Early-round voters favor it; the films it faces in finals tend not to.
Synopsis
A cold and mysterious new security guard for a Los Angeles cash truck company surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.
The 33-point gap between opening round and final tells the story. Wrath of Man wins when the bracket field is wide; when it narrows to the best, the margins flip.
The matchup with The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a genuine coin flip at 51% — neither film has found an edge. The Gentlemen is the film Wrath of Man can't figure out — just 0% in their matchups. Sherlock Holmes causes similar problems at 30%.
Wrath of Man handles Sherlock Holmes in the semis but can't get past Snatch in the final (33%). The tournament nemesis is clear.
