The Verdict Director's Cut
Zootopia 2 is a perfectly good time: the fox-and-bunny chemistry is intact, the gags land, and there's a new case to crack. What it can't quite recapture is the freshness of the first trip into the city, when every district and animal pun was a discovery and the whole thing turned out to be quietly about something real. The sequel is comfort food; the original was a genuine surprise. Parents who loved showing their kids the first one will have a warm time with the follow-up, but the movie that earns the rewatch — jokes for everyone, a little extra underneath — is still the one that started it.
