Alien³ builds an impressive record against weaker competition — then loses it in the late rounds. At 39% overall, the number flatters it slightly. Fincher's notorious debut remains one of the most polarizing franchise sequels ever made. Synopsis
After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.
First impressions do the heavy lifting. 46% in the opening round is where Alien³ is most convincing — by the final at 19%, the field has thinned to the films it can't outrun.
The closest rivalry is with Alien: Romulus at 46% — a matchup tight enough that a handful of votes could flip the lead. Alien³ owns AVP: Alien vs. Predator at 82% but Alien flips the script entirely: just 10%.
