Tenet
The overall record undersells Tenet. 20% across 487 head-to-head matchups looks average until you look at how the numbers shift as a tournament progresses. Nolan's most divisive film runs on ambition voters can't always follow. The ballot question is whether spectacle you don't fully understand still earns a vote. It ranks among the weakest 2020s performers on the platform.
Synopsis
Armed with only one word - Tenet - and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.
The opening number doesn't capture it. 16% early, 32% in the semis, 59% in the final — Tenet builds as the competition gets tougher, a trajectory most films can't sustain.
The Dark Knight at 16% is the toughest opponent in Tenet's bracket life. The Prestige causes similar problems at 20%.
Tenet owns Best of Nolan. Memento is the usual final opponent, and at 73% it's not much of a contest.
Tenet sits at #11 of Christopher Nolan's 11 films. The filmography spans from The Odyssey (86%) down to Dunkirk (29%) — a 57% range that shows how differently voters treat the same director's work.
Dead last in Best of Nolan.
