Prometheus
50% overall with a pattern worth knowing: Prometheus opens well and fades. Early-round voters favor it; the films it faces in finals tend not to. Ridley Scott returned to his own mythology and delivered philosophy where audiences expected horror. The resulting split — those who admire the ambition versus those who mourn the Alien film they didn't get — makes every vote a declaration of priorities. 1.9s avg decision time (platform avg: 3.5s). No deliberation needed.
Synopsis
A team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
71% early, 20% middle, 55% late. The rebound from the semifinal valley is real, but the gap between the opening and everything after is what defines Prometheus in brackets.
Alien: Romulus at 50% is as close to a dead heat as the platform produces. Every vote matters in this one. On the other end of the spectrum: Alien Resurrection at 71% is a comfortable win, while Alien at 18% is the matchup Prometheus can't crack.
The All the Alien Movies, Ranked final between Prometheus and Aliens is genuinely contested at 46%. Neither film has established clear control.
